“Innisfallen Fare Thee Well"

Adapted by Eddie Naughton

Performed by Ronan Wilmot

A new play adapted from Sean O'Casey's 3rd autobiography by Eddie Naughton, about O'Casey's life in - and leaving of - Dublin.

Eddie Naughton has written a dramatic fascinating insight into Sean O’Casey’s early life in poverty driven Dublin where he survived near blindness, deprivation and the political turmoil to write the three world class plays: The Shadow of a Gunman, Juno and The Paycock and

The Plough and The Stars, while at the same time devoting himself to the political and cultural renaissance that was prevalent in Dubl
in at the time. His association with Jim Larkin,
James Connolly and The Irish Citizens Army was to contribute a powerful influence on those classic plays and was integral in Sean O’Casey’s whole life.

A wonderful opportunity to view the historical and literary developments from Dublin’s greatest socialist writer. Ronan Wilmot will perform Sean O’Casey as a 78 year old looking back on those dramatic years prior to his departure from Dublin.
