The building which houses the Magic Carpet Pub was first opened to the public in 1860. Since then, it has served the community as both a grocers and public house. Opened on January 12 2015, the Dolmen Theatre aims to bring a new and exciting dimension to this establishment. The Dolmen is dedicated to providing exceptional theatre experiences of high professional quality with an impressive line up of production scheduled for 2015.
We have had very positive feedback from local residents who feel a neighbourhood theatre will be a welcome cultural contribution to the area. We are very grateful to everyone who gave us so much support in getting this ambitious venture off the ground.
